The Chandelier Company now offers a new search facility to help our customers navigate our thousands of products, to find items relevant to them.

How to use the Search Facility

The Search facility is a new search feature created by The Chandelier Company to allow its customers to navigate all our products, and disregard products not suitable to their requirements.

To start using the Search Facility simply visit one of the section pages shown on the left hand side of the screen. Once the category page has loaded the search feature will be shown, approximately half way down the middle of the screen. [Please see example below]

The Search Facility will display possible product selections, depending on what products are available within the given category. For example on the image above we can see that we can refine our search to only include chandeliers with a diameter of 0-30cm, 31-50cm, 51-70cm, 71-110cm and 110cm plus.

The numbers next to the options are the total products that are available with this option. For example, in the above image if we where to click on 0-30cm in Diameter, we would receiver four product options.

Once you have selected your required attributes, your results will display below the search Facility.
Please be aware not to refresh your browser, this will cause the search system to restart.

Below the "Refine Your Search" option you should now find the "Your selections so far" option. This allows you to view what selections you have made so far, and also allows you to remove selections as and when required.

In the example image above the user has selected to display all products up to £250 GBP. We can remove this option by simply clicking the "Remove" option.

The image above is an example search result page. At the top of the Results you will see a blue bar, with the word "Results" followed by how many relevant products where found. Below this you will find the change page option. In the above example we only have "1" displayed within a blue box, but if we where to pick a category with a larger collection of products then page numbers would follow.

If you wish to find out more about a product you have found simply click on "View Product Information" to be taken to the product information page.

How to use the Search Facility - Support

Search Not Loading:

The Search facility is visible on most section pages (hint, most of the links on the left hand side). When the section page has loaded a brief message like this is shown:

This loading bar is simply a placeholder for our search feature. The search feature is busy making sure that everything is correct, and will load in this place within a few seconds.

If the search feature fails to load within a reasonable time (say 20 seconds) you can force the search feature to restart, either by refreshing the page (press F5) or by clicking the "Show Advanced Search Features" hyperlink, above where the loading image is displayed.

Search not in the category I require:

Unfortunately not all our categories have the search feature as of yet. If you find that the search feature is not displayed within the category you require there are several other things you can do. You can either use the "Search Bar" at the top of the page to help search for the products you require, you can either use a different category from the left hand side (a lot of our products appear in more then one category) or you can visit the Chandelier page on the right hand side, which currently uses the Search Feature, searching through the majority of chandeliers which are currently active.

404, 500 Errors

We are sorry you have received an error while using our system. Please either:

Refresh your current page OR return to the homepage to retry.

If neither of these options work our systems will detect this problem and notify us directly. We will aim to fix the problem as soon as possible and return the search feature to the section.
